Monopole base flange

Sometimes analytical methodes do not fulfill our requirements, so we go down to details. A FEA model was established for the teleommunication monopole base flange to get a detailed overview about the stress distribution of the steel elements in the connection.

Beyond the requirements, the model was built in a parametric way for easier use in the future once parameters do change. Parameters are:

• number of bolts

• thickness of the flange

• flange outer diameter

• flange inner diameter

• pole wall-thisckness

• num. of bolts per stiffener
